Tyler and Gretchen Master

Tyler was raised in a Christian home and got saved at the age of fifteen. He surrendered to preach at the age of eighteen. He started studying at Grace Baptist Bible Institute to prepare for his call into ministry. He then made his way down to Peru for an internship that was required by his school. While he was there, he met his wife Gretchen, and they were married in December of 2004.

After marrying, Tyler and Gretchen went back to Peru so Tyler could finish his studies under Chris Gardner. While there, they had their first child Nora in 2007. Tyler finished up his studies and preparation after two years of being there, and they made their way back to the states for deputation. In 2009, they had their second child Judson who was born in Georgia.

Tyler and his family left for the field of North Africa in July 2010. He has been learning Arabic and been using the Spanish he learned while in Peru to work in both countries of Spain and Morocco. He has been travelling back and forth between the two countries every week. Tyler has seen God do great things in the past year with the Arabic people, and he continues to work hard so they all can hear about the one true God.

Jason and Lori Holt

Jason was born into a Christian family but did not accept Jesus as His own Savior until he was 16 years old. He grew in his faith with the help of a good friend Josh Ewing, now missionary to Indonesia, and by the age of 18 he surrendered his life to the Lord.

Jason started his training in Bible college where he met his wife Lori as well as studied under Pastor Austin Gardner in Peru. After finishing college and deputation, Jason and Lori went to Peru for Language school with their newborn baby, Katie. They now have three children including their two boys Josh and Andrew.

The Holts arrived in Santiago, Chile in February of 2005. After a few months they were able to start Iglesia Bautista Fe, Faith Baptist Church. As people came to know Christ as their personal Savior, Jason and Lori worked hard at grounding them in the truths of God’s Word and teaching them how to reach others with the gospel. The Lord really blessed the Holt’s ministry, and in two years the church grew to where they would have over one hundred people attending.

At this time Jason believed that there was a need for a Bible college there in Chile. Today there are eight students studying the Bible and learning practical applications to the ministry such as preaching, soul winning and discipling.

In 2010 the Holts were able to start two new churches with some of the young men out of their ministry. These two churches are actually located in areas that had absolutely no gospel witness previous to their arrival.

In the next few years, Jason would like to start at least four more churches while continuing to train the men in the Bible college.

David and Katie Gardner

David Gardner got saved at the age of 6. He grew up on the mission field of Peru and was able to watch and learn from the life and ministry of his dad, Austin Gardner, and his brother, Chris Gardner, as well as that of several others.

David helped start Iglesia Bautista Fe (Faith Baptist Church), Vision Baptist Church, and Iglesia Bautista Omega (Omega Baptist Church). He is the youth and worship pastor and music director at Iglesia Bautista Omega. Known for being an excellent translator, David is also a language school teacher at the Peru Baptist College. Additionally, he disciples and mentors men in the ministry. David’s favorite part about being a missionary is getting to see how the Lord continues to use him in the lives of others despite his own shortcomings.

David married his wife, Katie, in 2006, and the Lord blessed them with a little girl named Chloe in July 2010. The Gardners have been in Peru since June 2009.

Chris and Andria Gardner

Chris Gardner grew up on the mission field. He was saved at the age of 4 and moved with his family to Peru at the age of 12. Growing up on the field helped shape him and give him an incredible love and understanding for the Peruvian people and culture. His father’s faith, life, and ministry also stood as a strong testimony and example to Chris of the kind of man he wanted to be. Today, Chris is a missionary, church-planter, and dean of the Peru Baptist College.

Chris began pastoring at the age of 18 and has since planted and pastored several churches, including Iglesia Bautista El Faro (Lighthouse Baptist Church), Iglesia Bautista Fe (Faith Baptist Church), and Iglesia Bautista Omega (Omega Baptist Church), his most recent church plant. Chris is also the language school director of the Peru Baptist College and president of Television Mundial. Additionally, Chris mentors and helps church-planting pastors sent out of his ministry.

Chris met his wife, Andria, at a church Valentine’s banquet, and they were married a year later. For eight long years, they struggled to to have children. On July 26, 2004, the Lord blessed the Gardners by allowing them to adopt Jacob (15 months) & Hannah (2 months). In 2006, Andria gave birth to a little boy named Andrew, and he was later followed by baby Joshua in December 2010.

Peru has 20 cities with a population of about 100,000. It is Chris Gardner’s vision to see a church started in each one of these cities. He already has a church in six of these cities and is training and mentoring more men to start more churches. Few things bring Chris greater joy than being able to work with people and see the gospel advance.

Mark and Amy Coffey

At the age of 19, Mark Coffey spent 5 months in Peru where the Lord opened his eyes to the mission field. He was called to missions the very next year and has since then worked closely with Pastor Austin Gardner. Mark is also married to Amy and now has five children- Tyler, Chase, Emilee, Luke and Addison.

Mark has worked in various areas of ministry as an assistant youth director, a children’s pastor, an assistant pastor, a missionary to Peru as well as the director of Vision Baptist Missions.

Mark also traveled full time as a missionary representative for the work in Arequipa, Peru, South America, which has been key to starting churches and training leaders in South America and around the world. In addition to his traveling on behalf of the work in Peru, he has also recruited individuals with an interest in the mission field for short-term missions trips through the Our Generation Training Center.

Just recently the Lord began to work in Mark’s heart and he is now going to South Africa as a church planting missionary. He is being sent out of Vision Baptist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia through Vision Baptist Missions. He plans to start working with the Xhosa people in Port Elizabeth in January of 2013.
