In 1999 he co-pastored the church in Hunter, learning under Missionary Austin Gardner for four years. In 2003, Pastor Miguel took over as head pastor of Hunter Baptist Church. He has currently been in the ministry for eighteen years.

Jason and Lori Holt

Jason was born into a Christian family but did not accept Jesus as His own Savior until he was 16 years old. He grew in his faith with the help of a good friend Josh Ewing, now missionary to Indonesia, and by the age of 18 he surrendered his life to the Lord.

Jason started his training in Bible college where he met his wife Lori as well as studied under Pastor Austin Gardner in Peru. After finishing college and deputation, Jason and Lori went to Peru for Language school with their newborn baby, Katie. They now have three children including their two boys Josh and Andrew.

The Holts arrived in Santiago, Chile in February of 2005. After a few months they were able to start Iglesia Bautista Fe, Faith Baptist Church. As people came to know Christ as their personal Savior, Jason and Lori worked hard at grounding them in the truths of God’s Word and teaching them how to reach others with the gospel. The Lord really blessed the Holt’s ministry, and in two years the church grew to where they would have over one hundred people attending.

At this time Jason believed that there was a need for a Bible college there in Chile. Today there are eight students studying the Bible and learning practical applications to the ministry such as preaching, soul winning and discipling.

In 2010 the Holts were able to start two new churches with some of the young men out of their ministry. These two churches are actually located in areas that had absolutely no gospel witness previous to their arrival.

In the next few years, Jason would like to start at least four more churches while continuing to train the men in the Bible college.
