Encouraging service

Last night Vision had the chance to have an Encouraging Service with our sister church, Lakeland Baptist Church. We invited their pastor Brian Rhodes to preach. He did a great job.

We then had prayer for both Pastor Rhodes and Mrs. Courtney. We want them to know that we love them and the ministry that they are doing.

I wanted our churches to get to know each other and to encourage each other in the service of the king.

It was a wonderful service. Vision people were encouraged. More than one asked me when we could do it again and with another church.

The days of competition are over. We need each other and we want to love our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Risking your life for the cause

Act 15:26 Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The very word, “hazard,” excites me! I love what I saw that pastor Rick Groover put out as a quote: “Jesus didn’t die so we could safely arrive at death. He died so He could make us dangerous!”

What are you doing that is risky for the cause of the Lord Jesus. Are you giving in a dangerous manner? Are you witnessing in a dangerous manner? What are you doing that gets you out of your comfort zone?

These men had a testimony that they had hazarded their lives for the cause of Christ. Do you? Do I? I want to have that reputation!
