Ethan Howeth in surgery again »

by Tracy Paver

Ethan Howeth just got out of surgery this afternoon. His leg had been hurting him for some time after the other surgery, so the doctors went in to find out what was going on. The bones were growing back together, but for some reason, they didn’t have a gap between them like they should have.

The doctors cut where the bones were growing back together to create the necessary gap. They seemed very positive after the surgery. Ethan is currently in the post operative unit at Scottish Rite, and once he wakes up a bit more and gets a little something to eat, he will be sent home tonight. Praise the Lord for a good surgical report!

Keep praying for, loving, and encouraging this young man and the entire Howeth family.

Priorities, Decisions, Balance? »

Are you signed up? Are you planning on being with us?

Who: Businessmen, Professionals, Career People and all others who are interested.

What: 3 hours of godly counsel from the Word of God and a delicious lunch!

Where: Vision Baptist Church, 1125 Alpha Drive, Alpharetta, Georgia

When: March 6, 2010 9 AM to 1 PM

Why: to learn what would be a biblical answer to your questions!

Here are some of the questions that we will endeavor to answer:

How can pastors believe that my life should revolve around God when I do not have the luxury of time that a pastor has?

How do you keep focused on God when your life is consumed with business and worldly distractions?

How do I keep from focusing on my needs, concerns, ambitions, and allow God to use me?

How do I balance my time between family, friends, God, and business?

How can I increase my ability to draw close to God and remain close to Him when I am consumed by business and work?

How do you love God when your life is filled with unsaved family, friends, coworkers, etc?

Vision Baptist Missions »

Have you checked out Vision Baptist Missions! I am very excited about what God is doing through our church.

He has given us members of our church that are going as missionaries right now out of our church.

He has allowed us to partner with some great men and women from other countries as missionaries. It is our heart to help as many people as possible get to the world with the gospel.

He has given us some of the finest young men and women in the world that are training right now to be missionaries. They will all, Lord willing, be leaving to go to the field over the next few years.

We are also blessed to have Our Generation Volunteers. Heather is not out of our church but she did prepare through BCWE and the Our Generation Training Center.

There are other ministries being birthed right now.

I am excited about the possibility of using Media and Materials all over the world. I am going to be working like never before to bring this to pass over the next years. This year will be a time of begging God to give us someone and preparing the ministry. Maybe you could get involved.

It is exciting to be part of a church of such radical people.

Hang on, God is not finished with us yet!
