Ordering Your Private World by Gordon MacDonald
Good book on how to stay sane in a crazy world. So much happening around us and we get caught up in the whirlwind. Good to get back to having our feet on the ground. Well worth you reading it!

“Another class of persons were brethren in business, who suffered in their soul and brought guilt on their consciences, by carrying on their business almost in the same way as unconverted persons do. The competition in trade, the bad times, the over-peopled country, were given as reasons why, if the business were carried on simply according to the word of God it could not be expected to do well.
Such a brother, perhaps, would express the wish that he might be differently situated; but very rarely did I see that there was a stand made for God, that there was the holy determination to trust in the living God, and to depend on Him, in order that a good conscience might be maintained. To this class likewise I desired to show, by a visible proof, that God is unchangeably the same.–

My family had the privilege of being members of Whitfield Baptist Church for nearly 20 years. Wayne Cofield is one of the finest men of God that I have ever known. I want to ask you to be in prayer for them on their anniversary.
Pray that God will continue to bless. Pray that He will give Pastor Cofield power as he preaches. Pray for a good attendance.
I am thankful for the friendship that I have with this great man of God.

Acts 3:4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
Can you imagine people who respond “Look on us!” when they see people who are having a need. Most of the time our response is that you should not look at me but at someone else.
They didn’t duck their responsibility. They didn’t try to do just the minimum but fully understood that the man had a need and they had connections to someone that could help.
I want to be more responsible trying to help others. I want to take personal responsibility for getting the gospel to the world.
I want to say to the world, look on us, we will do our best to get the Word of God to you.
What do you say?
