Gary Ledford presents First Bible at Vision

1

Pastor Gary Ledford presented First Bible International tonight at Vision. We had a wonderful time with the Ledfords. We also were able to make a couple of programs from World Evangelism Today.

Please pray that God will continue to use the Ledfords and First Bible to get the gospel to the world.

Man has divided the world into political countries, but God originally divided the world into people groups. Each of these groups have their own distinct culture, customs and language.

The command of our Lord in Matthew 28:19 was to reach all “nations”(people groups). Our strategy must be to penetrate every people group with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Approximately 6000 of these people groups remain unreached. They are without the Scriptures, without a preacher, and without the gospel. As FirstBible becomes directly involved with them, profiles are created to highlight the facts, statistics and prayer needs of each group.

These profiles are intended not only to inform, but also to encourage you to pray for them. You may click on a people group name to download their profile.

Plans for Mark Tolson’s ordination service

God is blessing in the plans for Mark Tolson’s ordination service. Lord willing we will have the following three men to preach for us and participate in this very special service.

f

Pastor Michael Gray was Mark’s pastor in his previous church. He has had a great deal of influence in his life. I believe that you are really going to enjoy meeting him.

f

Pastor Doug Kraus was Mark’s youth director for many years. We have all heard many stories about how God used this man in his life.

Both of these men serve at The Baptist Tabernacle in Carlisle, Ohio.

We will also be privileged to have Pastor Tom Hatley. Natasha grew up under his ministry. I am really looking forward to spending special time with these three men. He is the pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church in Maryville, Tennessee.

There will be more special plans to add on but this is going to be a very special and exciting service. You will not want to miss it. Mark your calendar now!

q

Lord willing, Missionary Tony Howeth will also be participating in this very special night!

q

Pastor Brent Armstrong has been super kind to me!

God gives us undeserved blessings so often. Pastor Brent Armstrong has done just that for me here. I really appreciate his kindness.

Praise the Lord, victory slowly coming!

You may remember that a man in the Iglesia Bautista Fe cheated the church and many others out of thousands of dollars. This caused a great deal of hurt to many people. Chris Gardner, though not technically responsible for the money that a third party stole is trying to give so that Iglesia Bautista Fe, Faith Baptist Church can have their building fund.

God has graciously helped him raise and give them a total of $13,000 by the end of this month. His prayer goal is to give them $27,000. That means that he still needs to raise $14,000.

I would like to ask you to pray about this need. It weighs heavily on Chris’ heart as well as mine. So many people got hurt. So many have made ugly and false allegations. I think it is great that God has allowed them to get so much raised.

I am a Baptist

w

I just received my first copy of the Ancient Baptist Journal (promoting Baptist principles and Biblical preaching). I have enjoyed reading it. The truth is that we get little information about Baptists and what they have believed historically.

I particularly enjoyed this quote:

It is interesting to note, from a biblical perspective, that the historians, who wrote on the history of Christianity, seemed unaware of the fact that a Christian is one who has placed their faith and trust in Christ alone for the forgiveness of sin and eternal life. The historians, who wrote on Church history, were not bothered with a clear definition of what a church actually is. We end up with the history of “Christians” who were not born again and the history of a “church” that was never a church. It is no wonder there is such confusion! James A. Alter

I suggest that you subscribe. You can preview the current journal right here.
