I received the following email this morning about the passing of Dr. Dennis Carter. He was the pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina. They supported Betty and me for many years as missionaries. Please be in prayer for the family.
We appreciate all the prayers that have gone up on behalf of our Pastor and friend Dr Dennis Carter. He went home to be with the Lord early this morning. HE IS NOW COMPLETELY HEALED.
Mrs Linda Carter and the family have requested that in lieu of flowers please make a contribution to Trinity Baptist Church ear marked MEDICAL FUND, in which all proceeds will go to off set Dr Carter’s medical expenses.
We thank each of you in advance for what you have done by praying and what you will do in the days ahead.

So sad but HAPPY knowing that he has a brand new body and at home with the Lord!!! Preacher Carter was a Great Man of God and anyone that knew him or sit in his congregation knew…. He was my pastor for several years and even though I go to another church he has always been my pastor! When I first got saved he and Miss Linda bought me the Bible I use to this day and that was in 1989! I pray for the family and know that they have peace and I know that even though they know it is well with his soul they fill a deep void. This is to one of Greatest Preachers that I have ever known!!!

I could never express what Bro. Dennis and his family has meant to my family and me. I loved hearing his preaching. He gave practical lessons for living a Christian life. Bro. Carter will be greatly missed. I know Bro. Carter is rejoicing the LORD and Savior he served so faithfully until he was called home. I also know he has been reunited with Melody and they have had a great time “catching up”
God bless the family as they walk through this valley. God will be there every step of the way!!!
We went to Trinity Baptist in the 80′s and I loved to hear him preach. He is now with His and our Lord Jesus and I am so happy that he has a brand new body. I love Dennis and Linda and those kids. Preacher Carter always challenged you to live for the Lord a little better each day than the day before. He is now reaping for those 30 something years for his preaching at Trinity. I don’t believe anyone could ever fill his shoes at that church but God has a man all prepared when HE is ready for him. May God continue to Bless Linda and his children until they go home to Heaven to see Dennis again.
