On our way home »

The day is finally over. I have preached 4 times in two churches. I just spent a couple of hours in the company of wonderful friends in Limavady. These are some of the most wonderful people in the world. I love preaching, praying, and worshipping with them. The fellowship was great.

It is 11:30. Travis and Teri are trying to get their kids in the bed because Grant will have to go to school at 9 am I think it is.

We will leave for the airport at 7 am. It will takes us between 1.5 and 2 hours to get to the airport. The plane leaves at 11:10 am, tomorrow, November 9th. We arrive in Newark, New Jersey at 1:45 pm also on November 9th after and 7.5 hour flight. Then we leave Newark at 3:35 pm and arrive, Lord willing, in Atlanta at 6:10.

I have loved my time here but ready to get back to my lovely wife and the church that I love so much. I have been gone too much and too long recently.

I am also anxious to get back because Ethan Howeth will go into surgery at approximately 11 AM tomorrow and it will be an 8 hour surgery. I should arrive in time for Betty to take me by the hospital on the way home.

I would like to ask you to please pray for Ethan and for the doctors. Pray that God give them wisdom. Pray that God use Ethan and the entire Howeth family to bring great honor and glory to the God of Heaven.

I can’t wait to see all you and I certainly can’t wait to preach at Vision this Thursday night, if the Lord is willing.

Wonderful Host Family »

1

Travis and Teri Snode have three wonderful children. They are from left to right, Darci, Cali, and Grant. They have been the most wonderful hosts for this past week. We have really enjoyed our time with them. Teri has worked like crazy trying to meet our every need.

Plus teach a lady’s meeting, be in church every night of the week, and also 4 churches on Sunday. She does all this while she cares for 3 small children. A princess of a lady and a blessing for us this week

Travis is a diligent, dedicated, hard working missionary. I am grateful for the time that I have been privileged to be with him this week.

I want to ask you to pray that the North West Baptist Church can find a cheaper place to rent. I want to ask you to pray for the out reach of both churches. Pray for their support so that they will be able to continue the work without so much financial strain.

Pray that God will convict lost people to be saved and saved people will be convinced to serve God as they try to reach out and evangelize the world.

Visited The Grianan of Aileach »

1

This afternoon between services we traveled down south to the Republic of Ireland. We visited The Grianan of Aileach. You can get more info here.

Prehistoric cashel or ringfort at the entrance to the Inishowen Peninsula, County Donegal, Republic of Ireland, 10 km/6 mi northwest of Londonderry. Situated on a 240 m-/800 ft-high mound above Loughs Swilly and Foyle, the massive circular structure, 23 m/77 ft in diameter, is further protected by three earth ramparts. Dry-stone walls, 5m/17ft high and 4 m/13 ft wide at the base, incorporate four tiers of inner terraces and two passages. Built on a site of early pagan worship, its original purpose is unknown, and construction dates differ between 1700 BC and 5 BC. From the 5th century it became the seat of the O’Neill dynasty, kings of Ulster, until sacked by Murtogh O’Brien, King of Munster, in 1101. Reconstruction took place in the 1870s.

Grianán of Aileach appears on a 2nd-century map of Ireland by the Alexandrian geographer Ptolemy. In AD 450 Eoghán (Owen), founder of the O’Neill dynasty, was reputedly baptized here by St Patrick.

Last full day in Northern Ireland »

God has tremendously blessed us here. God is doing a great work here through his servants, Travis and Teri Snode. I have loved being here with them. Today I will preach four times. We will eat in the car between services two times they tell me. The day will be all one big rush. We are leaving at 9:30, will preach 30 minutes from here in Limavady, then 30 minutes back to preach in Londonderry. Then a couple of hours free in the afternoon and back to Londonderry to preach and then 30 minutes to Limavady and then back home around 10 pm.

They are hard working missionaries. God is using them. They are seeing things happen and I am excited. I spent the afternoon yesterday with about 10 adults studying how to study the Bible. Then I got to be with about 10 young people and we talked about God’s purpose for our lives from Philippians 1.

These are super wonderful people here. They love the Lord and His Word. I know that God is doing great things and will continue to do so.

I ask you to be in prayer for your missionaries all over the world and especially for the Snode family.

God has blessed our church with 8 missionary families and more on the way.

Right now we have

Mark Coffey representing the Peru Bible College and Vision Baptist Missions
Chris Gardner in Peru
David Gardner in Peru
Jason Holt to Chile
Tyler Masters on his way to Northern Africa
Travis Snode in Northern Ireland
Mark Tolson on his way to China
Ronald Tubillas to the American Hispanics
