We have friends and family in different parts of the world that loved my dad and our family. I want to invite you to watch the funeral live.
The funeral will be held at Whitfield Baptist Church in Dalton, Georgia where Dr. Wayne Cofield is pastor.
You can click on this link to watch the service.
Thank you to all of you that have prayed for us, written notes, cards, emails, sent flowers, prepared food, and done a thousand other things that I can’t think of right now.
God bless each of you. We are super blessed as a family.
I have had a blast getting to spend so much time with my family. Getting to know my nieces again has been a special privilege.

Bro. Austin,
Praying God will use you to touch hearts and at the same time give you grace and strength as a son during the service. Here is a link to Bro. Charles obituary from the Dalton paper:

“praying for you guys!”
Our family watched his funeral here in Missionfield tonight. We were happy to be there even though you couldn’t see us. I remember Papaw putting $100 in my hand last time I saw him and telling me that I reminded him of you when you were my age. If I had to chose (which I’m glad I didn’t) I would have chosen the compliment 100 times over.
We love you and are praying for you all now and rejoicing with Papaw

Many of you probably new Mr. Gardner. He is the father of Pastor/missionary Austin Gardner. He loved the Lord and the Lord’s work. He had a tremendous heart for missions and has helped numerous missionaries in their work all around the world.
Instead of flowers being sent to the funeral home the family has stated that the greatest way we can honor Mr. Gardner (Bro. Gardner) is to send the money we would spend on flowers to the Peru Baptist College to help train more preachers of the gospel.
Would you help honor this dear man? Here are further details if you would like to take part.

Bro. Gardner,
So sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. Please know that Freda and I, and the staff at the BEAMS Bible ministry, will be holding you and your family up in our prayers. It is good to know that you have comfort in knowing your dad was saved, has gone to a much better place, and because of Jesus, you will see him again.
Two years ago, my dad went home to be with the Lord. I still miss him greatly, but I am so glad to know that my daddy was saved. I had prayed for my dad’s salvation for eight years. One sunday morning he came to hear me preach. During the invitation he came forward, knelt at the altar, and I had the privilege of hearing my dad pray the sinners prayer and getting saved. Amen!
Thank you for your support for Freda and I and the BEAMS Bible ministry. We pray for you often.
If there is ever anything that i can do for you, please do not hesitate to call.
May God bless and keep you.
Your friend,
Rene’ Freret, missionary and Executive Director of BEAMS

“Sorry to hear about your dad. I can say I know what your going through. I lost mine in 93 and it still hurt’s. The comfort I have is knowing that I’ll see him someday as we’ll see your dad also. I love and miss yall dearly! Thanks for being the servant’s of God that you and Mrs. Betty are. Take care!”
“…in a strait betwixt two…to be with Christ; which is far better…”
I remember the emotions when my mother went to heaven almost 4 years ago now. May this be a blessed time for you and your family, and I pray God will comfort your mother and all of you.
