Please pray for my dad

I would like to ask you to be in prayer for my dad. He had 4 mini-strokes while we were in Peru.

At 5:45 AM this morning, my sister called to say that at 1:45 AM dad had gotten up to go to the bathroom. He didn’t know where he was or what he was doing. It was nearly 5 am before the neighbor heard and answered the phone.

A nuero surgeon has been called in. It is massive bleeding on the right side and major brain swelling. I will leave right after the evening service I imagine to go to Tennessee.

Please pray for him and for the family. Thank you to each and everyone of you!

Yesterday my parents celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. I didn’t get to visit but I spoke to him on the phone. He was in good spirits but really couldn’t hear me well.

just got a text message from my sister in law, Donna:

hemorrhage is inside brain so there will be no surgery. Doctor is hoping his body will dissolve blood. Going into ICU. Damage likely permanent.

Dad is not responsive and doesn’t pay attention. He will smile if he sees you but doesn’t talk. They think that the blood will dissolve so they are not going to do surgery.

They are lowering his pulse and blood pressure and just waiting now.

I will leave after church tonight to go to Tennessee. I will be there until we know something

Betty and I are leaving now to go on to TN. His blood pressure was 171 over 97 and pulse 114. No speech, did grip my brother’s hand but no other response.

I will post further details when we get there in 4 or 5 hours
